CAN I MITER THE SIDING TRIM TO FIT WITH MY INSTALLATION?

Yes, this would be fine.

CAN A Z-GIRT BE USED WITH NEWTECHWOOD TONGUE AND GROOVE SIDING, FOR EXAMPLE IF THE INSULATION IS ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE STRUCTURE?

Yes, the Z-girt may be used. You would want to use #8 pan head self-tapping screws with the AW08 clips that have fully threaded shanks.

AS PER DIAGRAM 15 IN THE EUROPEAN STYLE SIDING INSTALLATION GUIDE, SCREWS ARE REQUIRED. HOW DO I HIDE THESE SCREWS?

You can use our color-match fascia screws for this. This will allow them to not be seen clearly once installed.

WOULD NEWTECHWOOD DECK TILES ALLOW FOR TRIM OR FASCIA TO BE CONNECTED IF THE DECK TILE IS CUT?

Cutting the connectors does disallow for the deck tiles to be connected to the edge pieces. We have had some customers use Liquid Nail to adhere the deck tile to the trim but this solution has mixed results, and is not officially endorsed. If your deck tiles are installed over a wooden deck, you could also screw through the trim into the wood underneath, after pre-drilling, using a trim head screw. With that said, we currently do not have any official solution to this issue and would recommend installing the deck tiles in way that minimizes cutting them, such as starting at the edge and leaving the cut pieces for the edges of the deck against the wall.

WOULD IT POSSIBLE TO GET CREATE OUTSIDE AND INSIDE CURVES USING THE DECK TILE TRIM AND FASCIA? AND IF SO, WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST WAY TO ATTACH THESE CURVED PIECES?

We strongly do not recommend trying to create curved deck tile trim and fascia. We would suggest adapting your patio to the straight edges of the decking instead. You could also cut the deck tiles to a curve matching your patio’s curvature.

WHAT SHOULD BE USED FOR YOUR NEWTECHWOOD DECK TILES IN TERMS OF GRAVEL AND SAND DEPTH? IS SAND IS NEEDED ON TOP OF THE GRAVEL?

We would recommend using two inches of gravel covered by one inch of sand.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO INSTALL GRASS TILES?

It is recommended to flip the grass tiles over and connect at the back first. You would then flip back the grass tiles back to connect with another regular deck tile grid.

WHAT IS A POLYSHEET?

Examples of a polysheet include a TPO or EPDM membrane, a material layer placed on top of your roof, providing protection.

WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS IF I CUT THE DECK TILE IN A WAY THAT REMOVES THE SCREWS, SEPARATING THE TILE FROM THE MESH FOUNDATION?

Ideally, you would not want to cut the deck tile in this way as there is no definitive solution for attaching the slats back to the frame without the screws. You may try using Liquid Nails to adhere the frame and the tile. You may also use a c-clamp or wire clamp to attach the two pieces. However, we recognize that neither is an ideal solution and, in such cases, may be better to use a spare tile and cut it in a way that keeps the screw intact.

HOW LONG OF AN INSTALLATION CAN I HAVE USING DECK TILES IN THE SAME DIRECTION?

Deck tiles should not be placed in lengths greater than 35 feet in the same direction, as this can cause contraction and expansion issues.
