Dear NEWTECHWOOD Customer:
California’s Proposition 65, officially known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, states that no person in the course of doing business shall knowingly and intentionally expose an individual to potentially hazardous chemicals without first providing a clear and reasonable warning.
California’s Proposition 65 requires that a clear and reasonable warning be provided prior to exposing individuals in California to certain chemicals and substances, including wood dust, that are known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.
Newtechwood products are made from a wood-polyethylene composite. Individuals that drill, saw, sand, or machine Newtechwood products will be exposed to wood dust. In addition, Newtechwood products may* contain trace amounts of other chemicals that are on the Proposition 65 chemicals list.
To be in compliance with California Proposition 65, Fiber composites, LLC maker of Newtechwood products, is providing the following as warning concerning the use of Newtechwood wood-polyethylene composite products:

Drilling, sawing, or machining wood-composite products containing wood fiber can expose you to wood dust, a substance known to the State of California to cause cancer.
